GSMNP Hike July 14- Participant Registration

Registration for participants of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park adaptive hike on July 14th, 2024. Please indicate if you would like to reserve a GRIT Freedom Chair for this hike when registering by selecting the correct ticket type.

Please note: This hike will begin at the Fontana Village Resort Marina and include a 30 minute pontoon boat tour across the lake, followed by the hike. Accessible restrooms are located at the marina and a private, accessible commode will be available on the landing side of the lake. Due to limited space, each participant may only bring one companion on this hike.

In order to maintain safety and provide a positive experience for all participants, we require hikers to meet the following Essential Eligibility Criteria:

• Breathe independently (i.e., not require medical devices to sustain breathing)
• Independently hold head upright without neck / head support
• Manage personal care independently or with assistance of a companion
• Manage personal mobility independently or with a reasonable amount of assistance
• Follow instructions and effectively communicate independently or with assistance of a companion
